JOB DESCRIPTION

Test Authority & Governance

• Oversee end-to-end testing activities throughout the SDLC for all technical implementations and projects.
• Identify gaps and deficiencies in test execution, driving remediation and continuous improvement.
• Serve as the ultimate authority ensuring software/system quality, reliability, and stability prior to production deployment.
• Actively participate in governance forums, reviewing test quality and approving system changes.
• Perform data-driven pre- and post-implementation analysis, including defect detection trends, root cause analysis, and effectiveness reviews.
• Establish and continuously enhance test standards, frameworks, procedures, and key performance metrics to maximize test efficiency and coverage.

Quality Assurance Leadership

• Formulate and execute comprehensive software testing and quality assurance strategies to guarantee system stability and reliability.
• Coordinate product releases, conduct post-launch technical reviews, and provide ongoing quality support.
• Lead enterprise-wide test automation initiatives, including the adoption of RPA (Robotic Process Automation) to achieve a high degree of process automation in QA activities.
• Oversee type approval processes, review and optimize certification standards/procedures, and develop tailored certification specifications aligned with business and operational requirements.
• Collaborate closely with development, project management, product management, and quality teams to ensure quality objectives are consistently achieved.

Quality Strategy & Departmental Leadership

• Provide overall leadership and direction for the Quality Management department.
• Develop and implement the department’s quality strategy, policies, and roadmap.
• Promote and enforce industry best practices across development and delivery processes to ensure consistently high-quality outcomes.

Product Realisation & Stakeholder Engagement

• Create and maintain detailed quality plans for projects and products.
• Prioritize and execute tasks in alignment with approved quality plans.
• Develop and maintain critical test standards, and the departmental Test Framework, to elevate product quality.
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality outputs, including new processes, quality documentation, audits, and compliance deliverables.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, IT Management, or a closely related discipline.

Experience

• Minimum 10-years of solid, hands-on experience in system analysis, technical testing, and defect management within complex software environments.

Technical & Professional Competencies

• Deep expertise in software testing methodologies, tools, and SDLC models (Agile, DevOps, Waterfall).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proven ability to identify root causes, enhance test coverage, interpret metrics, and drive continuous improvement.
• Solid understanding of automation frameworks, scripting languages, and test automation best practices.
• Working knowledge of international standards: ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 20000, ISO/IEC 27001, and other relevant quality/testing frameworks.
• Advantageous: Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.), CI/CD pipelines, and testing in cloud deployments.
