Inventory Management & System Specialist
Responsibilities:
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes including journal entries, variance analysis, and reporting
- Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to reconcile inventory variances and maintain accurate stock levels.
- Monitor slow-moving and excess inventory; assist in developing strategies to mitigate potential financial impact.
- Participate in inventory audits and cycle count reviews.
- Support month-end and year-end accounting activities, including inventory-related journal entries and reconciliations.
- Analyze monthly/quarterly financial performance, including revenue, costs, and profitability, and prepare variance analyses against budgets and forecasts.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting process, collaborating with cross-functional teams (operations, sales, etc.) to collect data and ensure accuracy.
- Conduct financial modeling to evaluate business initiatives, cost-saving opportunities, and investment proposals.
- Monitor key financial metrics, identify trends or risks, and provide actionable recommendations to management.
- Prepare regular financial reports and presentations for internal stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Assist in improving financial processes and systems (e.g., QAD) to enhance efficiency and data accuracy.
- Coordinate with auditors during internal and external audits, providing necessary financial data and explanations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; Master’s degree or CPA is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in financial analysis, preferably in manufacturing.
- Prior experience at Big Four accounting firms as a IT auditor is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in Excel (advanced functions) and ERP systems (e.g., QAD); experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) is a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English.
